1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether an individual learner, parent, guardian, educational institution, or enterprise entity, hereinafter "User" or "You") and Lyran Technology & Innovation Private Limited, operating under the brand name "Lyran Labs" (hereinafter "Company", "We", or "Us").

By accessing or using our websites (lyranlabs.com and its subdomains), enrolling in our educational courses, purchasing hardware kits, submitting consultation forms, or interacting with our AI learning tools, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our companion Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

2.1 Age of Majority & Minors: You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into a binding agreement. If you are under the age of 18 (a "Minor"), you may only access the platform with the express consent and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized educational institution that holds requisite parental consents.

2.2 Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, passwords, and verification OTPs. You agree to notify Lyran Labs immediately at support@lyranlabs.com of any unauthorized access or security breach.

3. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Rights

3.1 Exclusive Ownership: All curricula, video lectures, source code, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) signal processing models, robotics designs, circuit schematics, PCB layouts, 3D models, documentation, trademarks, and branding available on our platform belong exclusively to Lyran Technology & Innovation Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

3.2 Limited License: Enrolled users are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license solely for non-commercial educational study.

4. Educational Programs & Certifications

4.1 Course Evolution: Because frontier domains such as aerospace, BCI, neurotechnology, and robotics advance rapidly, Lyran Labs reserves the right to update syllabi, adjust session schedules, or assign qualified replacement instructors to ensure pedagogical rigor.

4.2 Verified Credentials: Completion certificates bearing unique digital verification IDs are awarded strictly upon meeting mandatory attendance thresholds and passing capstone assessments. Mere enrollment does not guarantee certificate issuance.

5. Hardware Prototyping Kits & Lab Safety

5.1 Experimental Kits: Hardware supplied by Lyran Labs (microcontrollers, rocketry avionics, EEG electrode sensors, actuators) is intended for educational experimentation.

5.2 Safety Protocols: Handling electronic components, soldering irons, lithium batteries, and mechanical parts involves inherent risks. Users must adhere to standard laboratory protocols and ensure responsible supervision for minor students.

5.3 Hardware Warranty: Hardware components carry a limited 7-day replacement warranty strictly for verified manufacturing defects or transit damage reported upon unboxing. The warranty expressly excludes accidental physical damage, reverse polarity, overvoltage, liquid exposure, or unauthorized circuit modification.

6. AI Interactive Tools & Chatbot Disclaimer

Lyran Labs provides AI-assisted conversational tools (including the STEM AI Chatbot) to support conceptual understanding. You understand and agree that:

• AI outputs are generated algorithmically for educational guidance and brainstorm assistance only.
• AI models can occasionally provide inaccurate or incomplete technical answers; users must verify critical calculations prior to hardware deployment.
• AI tools do not provide certified engineering, legal, or commercial advisory services.

7. Pricing, Fees & Cancellation Policy

7.1 Pricing & GST: All course fees and hardware kits are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) or international currencies as specified. Applicable statutory taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), are charged in compliance with Indian law.

7.2 Refund Policy:

• Self-Paced Courses: Non-refundable once access credentials or downloadable materials have been issued.
• Live Cohort Programs: Written refund requests submitted at least 48 hours prior to the inaugural batch session are eligible for refund less payment processing and administrative charges. No refunds are granted once live classes begin.
• Hardware Kits: Non-refundable once the tamper-evident packaging is unsealed, except under valid warranty claims under Section 5.3.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users shall not:

• Interfere with, probe, or disrupt platform security, rate limiters, honeypots, or reCAPTCHA verification systems.
• Transmit malicious software, viruses, or harmful scripts.
• Engage in harassment, abusive communication, or defamation against instructors, employees, or fellow students.
• Attempt unauthorized access to administrative portals or other student accounts.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW, THE PLATFORM, COURSES, HARDWARE KITS, AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LYRAN TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION PRIVATE LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR HARDWARE MALFUNCTION).

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO LYRAN LABS IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR INR 1,000 (ONE THOUSAND RUPEES), WHICHEVER IS LOWER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lyran Technology & Innovation Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and legal expenses arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) misuse of intellectual property; or (c) improper handling of physical hardware kits.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India.

12.2 Arbitration: Any dispute or claim arising out of these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India.

12.3 Court Jurisdiction: Subject to arbitration, the competent civil courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Modifications & Severability

We reserve the right to modify these Terms as required by regulatory updates or platform changes. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, that specific clause shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain fully effective.
